Managing partner at Ideas & Solutions

I am the managing partner of Ideas & Solutions (I&S), an independent research and consultancy firm that offers health policy and market access advisory services to companies and policymakers in the pharmaceutical and medical device sectors.

With 16 years of experience in healthcare management and the funding of pharmaceuticals and medical devices, I have gained extensive expertise in this field. Before 2010, I was part of the executive team for pharmaceutical reform in Hungary, serving as the Deputy Director of Reimbursement at the national health insurance fund. Prior to that, I held a position as a research leader at the Corvinus University of Budapest. I am a frequent speaker at conferences and workshops on pharmaceutical and medical device policies, where I also lead payer communication and negotiation training sessions for multinational companies and authorities. Additionally, I contribute to international advisory boards.

My areas of focus include pricing of targeted onco-hematology medicines, pragmatic value assessment and HTA systems for middle-income markets, designing managed entry agreements and linking them to value assessment, negotiations with payers and other governmental stakeholders, and alternative funding/contracting strategies in middle and low-income countries.

I also lecture in the European Market Access University Diploma (EMAUD) program at the Vienna School of Clinical Research (VSCR) and teach pharmacy and health economics courses across Central Europe, Russia, and the Middle East. I graduated in Economics from Corvinus University of Budapest, where I also earned my PhD in 2012 with a thesis on resource management in pharmaceutical research and development.

In addition to my consulting work, I serve as a peer reviewer and editorial board member for three health economics and market access journals. I am also the co-editor of a university textbook titled Pharmaceutical Reimbursement and a co-author of the Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research Guidelines for India. I work in English, Russian, and Italian, and I also speak German, French, and Portuguese.
