I have a solid educational and academic background, with an MBA from Edinburgh Business School and a Professorship in Medicine at Hanover Medical School. Over the years, I’ve accumulated extensive experience working across various clinical, academic, and industrial environments. Some key milestones in my career include:

I completed my MD and PhD at the University of Witten/Herdecke in Germany, which laid the foundation for my professional journey. I also underwent practical training in internal medicine and rheumatology at Hanover Medical School, further honing my expertise.

A significant achievement was my role in designing and conducting the Hanover Costing Study, where I analyzed a major set of real-world health services data. I’ve also been deeply involved in the development, transcultural adaptation, and methodological validation of various instruments used to capture Patient Reported Outcomes, which has had a lasting impact on the field.

In my career, I’ve had the opportunity to present health economic and regulatory data sets to important organizations such as the US Federal Drug Administration and international health authorities in the United Kingdom, Norway, Sweden, and others.

On the industry side, I led an HIV sales team across the 5 Boroughs of New York and took charge of the Franchise for novel biologic treatments in Rheumatoid Arthritis. One of my proudest moments was leading the introduction of RoActemra into the German market.

Between 2011 and 2016, I also led the Market Access / HTA Team at Roche Germany, a role that allowed me to drive impactful changes and contribute to the advancement of healthcare.
