I am the founder of r-connect.org. I have a solid educational and academic background, holding an MBA from Edinburgh Business School and serving as a Professor of Medicine at Hanover Medical School. My career has spanned various clinical, academic, and industrial environments. I earned my MD and PhD at the University of Witten/Herdecke in Germany and completed my practical training in internal medicine and rheumatology at Hanover Medical School. I designed and conducted the Hanover Costing Study, an extensive analysis of real-world health services data, and contributed to the development, transcultural adaptation, and methodological validation of various instruments to capture Patient-Reported Outcomes. Throughout my career, I have presented health economic and regulatory data sets to the US Food and Drug Administration and international health authorities in the United Kingdom, Norway, Sweden, and beyond. I have also led an HIV sales team across the five boroughs of New York and was responsible for introducing RoActemra into the German market while leading the franchise for novel biologic treatments in Rheumatoid Arthritis. Between 2011 and 2016, I headed the Market Access and HTA Team at Roche Germany.
My passion lies in bridging the gap between healthcare innovation and patient access, ensuring that groundbreaking treatments reach those who need them most.
